This happy lady is Elena Italia and she is organising Borderline a multi site performance festival that is coming to Norwich on the 25th June. The project aims to promote challenging contemporary performance art from all over the world and is completely free!! Elena has been combining digital and screen printing process to create the posters for the festival. You can volunteer at the festival here and even help fund it here.
Our Monday morning shout out goes to Paul McNeill the organiser of the Golden Triangle Makers Market which is happening this Saturday (27th April) from 11-3pm at St Thomas' Hall on Earlham Road. Paul likes to keep it real by screen printing all the posters for the event. He also screen prints his own range of T-Shirts and bags which will be on sale there as well as loads of other lovely things!!
Print Room member Josey Grant has got a solo show of her work opening at the Arts Centre this Thursday - definitely worth a gander I'd say!
Its on from the 19th to the 7th May with the Private View on Thursday 18th from 5pm. If you wanted to be super clever you could come and see it this Saturday and also take in the sights of the Clutter City Spring Market.
Norwich based synth-folk drone band Transept lovingly (and somewhat messily!!) printed the covers for their new album here at Stew Print Rooms. Each cover was mono printed by the band before the text was screen printed over the top by Print Room technician Jo Stafford so each LP / CD is completely individual and unique - to grab yourself one head here.
